Conservation and Historic Projects

We have specialised expertise in the conservation and repair of historic building. We can:

  • Investigate and advise on programmes of repairing and conserving all forms of historic building structures
  • Advise on contemporary designs and modifications to historic buildings.
  • Our Engineers have experience of working with clients such as the National trust, English Heritage together, numerous Churches and Cathedrals.
  • Our approach is based on forming a complete understanding of a buildings original construction. When this knowledge is achieved we can then formulate a design to serve the client’s brief; including possible alteration and/or repair of the existing building in a sympathetic manner and in line with the basic principles of conservation.
We believe that the initial condition survey is the key to achieving this understanding and we have experience of carrying out close inspection surveys on all types of buildings, churches, large private country houses, garden structures and public buildings.
